This year's summer reading challenge is up and running and waiting for you to join in at your local library or, if you can't get to the library, there is an online version you can take part in too. Can you rise to the challenge and read the books over the summer break (all the way to 30th September) and earn the rewards - stickers, badges, certificate and all-important medal?
So head to your local library - there are libraries in Sunninghill, Ascot, Bracknell and Windsor as well as the mobile library in Broomhall Park, Sunningdale.
There are so many books out there waiting to be read!

Accessing Books through your local library

Love Reading 4 Kids is a fantastic website which gives you recommendations of books for children of different age groups. You can sign up to become a member of the website for free and access reviews, extracts from books, competitions and recommendations. The website is constantly updated and if you sign up you will receive emails telling you about all the latest releases in children's books.
Summer Reading Challenge - Book Sorter
Every year, libraries across the country launch the Summer Reading Challenge which is a great way of engaging children in books over the longer summer break.
The website is live all year and has lots of fantastic information about children's books alongside competitions and games.
It also has a book sorter which can help your child decide what sort of book they might like to read. Click on the link and have a go!Reading Rockets is a comprehensive website whose aim is to 'Launch Young Readers'. It has some great links to authors and guidance on all sorts of children's books.
It also has lots of ideas and links that parents might find useful if they are looking for ways to help your child read at home.
