Mental Health and Wellbeing
Here at Cheapside we value the Mental health and Wellbeing of our entire school community. To give the greatest possible support, we are members of a number of organisations/ charities that provide guidance, resources, and training. These organisations are: Place 2 Be, Young Minds, and Thrive.
At Cheapside, we also have Wellbeing champions comprising six Year 6 pupils who have completed Wellbeing training provided by Achieving for children. We meet monthly to explore how to best support the children at school. The Wellbeing Champions provide a peaceful lunchtime space for KS1 and KS2 once a week. In addition, they pair up and go to the playground around lunchtime on the remaining days to assist children.
Every term, the Wellbeing champions present an assembly with a focus on mental health.
Kindly review the information on this page and please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of support in any way.
Thank you.
