Space Chase, Summer Reading Challenge 2019

This year’s Summer Reading Challenge is called Space Chase and the children have had an assembly all about it in school.  Hopefully, they will have brought home a bookmark giving you all the information required.  As usual, the Reading Challenge asks that children aim to read six books over the summer holidays and there are lots of stickers and rewards to keep them going.  All that is needed is that your child is registered in their own name at your local library – if they are not please don’t worry, it’s free and easy to you and your local library will give you all the help that you need.  Once they are members they can register and then start reading…

There are also lots of fun things to do on the website which you can find at www.summerreadingchallenge.org.uk

Libraries in the local area:

Sunninghill Library, School Road, Sunninghill (open every day)

Sunningdale Container Library, Broomhall Park, Sunningdale (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays)

Ascot Durning Library, High Street (Racecourse), Ascot (open every day)

Windsor Library, Bachelors Acre, Windsor (open every day)

If you haven’t been to a local library for a long time, it’s well worth a visit as they have really moved on and there are lots of opportunities now to download books or magazines online and renewing your books has never been easier.  It’s worth looking online to see what is available:
