We have a total of 12 Governors, coming from within the school staff, parents, Local Education Authority (LEA) and our Church.

Your Governing body consists of three staff Governors, one LEA Governor, one parent Governor, and seven Foundation Governors (two Diocesan, our Vicar and four appointed by St Michael’s Church PCC). The Chairman of the Main Governing Body is Amelia Robinson.

 With the exception of our Head Teacher and our Vicar, all Governors are volunteers and serve a 3 year term, after which they are eligible to stand for re-election. Fortunately, quite a few Governors remain on the MGB for a number of years and their experience is invaluable in helping run our school.  The MGB meets 4 times a year, and there are a number of sub-committees which meet more regularly, reporting into the MGB meetings. Some of the important committees are Curriculum & Admissions, and Finance & Premises
